I am an educator, and college writing teacher interested in becoming a part of the tech industry. I have taught myself HTML, CSS, as well as Javascript, and have a year’s worth of experience creating applications that include front-end and back-end development. I have experience working with command lines, building responsive applications using React, creating logos using HTML and CSS, and I am currently working on a face recognition application.

I have over ten years of experience as an educator, and have published short stories and essays. I have a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, and I have years of experience in creative collaborative projects.

A responsive application with searchable cards built using React, JavaScript, JSON, HTML and CSS. Learned about React’s ecosystem and abilities with one way data flow, components, and state. Learned about destructuring JavaScript expressions for a more dynamic application interface.

A responsive application with searchable cards built using React and a public API using JavaScript, HTML, CSS. Linked front end development capabilities with server side information. This fun little application takes a Star Wars character’s name and statistics such as age, and birth planet, and places it on a searchable card.

A handy application that could be used for website design, or brainstorming ideas for color schemes. The background generator is built using JavaScript, HTML, CSS and knowledge of DOM. This responsive application also has a randomize function included for creative inspiration.
